Two days ago, a mass shooting in Atlanta took the lives of 8 victims, 6 of whom were Asian American. This was an attack against women and immigrants of Asian descent. Since March 2020, 3,800 anti-Asian incidents have been reported during the global pandemic and have been fueled by xenophobic and racist rhetoric. This needs to end NOW.
Hope CommUnity Center is in solidarity with AAPI- Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, victims, and families affected by this tragedy. We also recognize and accept the large Asian and Asian American population within the Central Florida area and are here to provide help and services to those who need it in any capacity. We must come together and #StopAsianHate.
